Provincial Pary Secretary Bui Van Hai receives Lee Chan Kun, Tourism Ambassador of Vietnam to Korea

On 17 January, Provincial Party Secretary Bui Van Hai received Lee Chan Kun, Tourism Ambassador of Vietnam to Korea, the 31st generation descendant of King Ly Thai To – the first king of the Ly dynasty (1010-1225). The meeting was attended by representatives of the Office of Provincial Party Committee, Department of Foreign Affairs, Bac Giang city’s Party Committee.

At the meeting, Provincial Party Secretary Bui Van Hai expressed his pleasure to receive Lee Chan Kun to visit Bac Giang on the occasion of the New Year 2020. He stressed that great development has been seen in the relations between the two countries in general, Bac Giang province and Korean partners in particular.

Currently, there are 232 Korean investment projects in Bac Giang province, with total registered capital of 954 million U.S dollars. Among nations and territories investing in Bac Giang, Korea ranks first in terms of the number of investment projects, and second in terms of investment capital.

Provincial Secretary said that Bac Giang is blessed with favorable factors for development, including: natural and geographical condition; traffic route linked with Hanoi capital and other economic hubs; young, abundant and skilled work force. The province also has potential for tourism development through eco-spiritual tourism, golf tourism.

He expected Lee Chan Kun to act as a bridge for Korean enterprises/groups to invest in the province, which may attract more Korean tourists.

Lee Chan Kun felt thankful for the Provincial Party Secretary for his hospitality when taking time for the meeting. The Ambassador also highly appreciated great achievements has been made in socio-economic development of the province, and looked forward to intensive cooperation between two countries in a wide ranges of sectors.

As the Tourism Ambassador, Lee Chan Kun continues to promote and popularize images, culture, people and tourism of Vietnam generally, and Bac Giang particularly to international friends; contributing to further deepen cooperative partnership between Vietnam and Korea.

Bui Van Hai and Lee Chang Kun also discussed the possibility of twin tie between Dangjin city (Chungcheongnam province) and Bac Giang city

Lee Chan Kun also took this chance to visit office building of Bac Giang city’s party committee and Xuong Giang Temple.
