On behalf of the delegation, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Giang province Phan The Tuan is delighted with the initial results in the cooperation between Miyazaki prefecture and the Vietnam Academy of Agriculture, hoping that there will be many Vietnamese students having opportunities to study and work in Miyazaki Prefecture.

Sharing about the agricultural production situation of Bac Giang province, he said, Bac Giang is in the top provinces with strongly developed agriculture in Vietnam, considered as the "lychee capital" of the country with average output of  more than 200 thousand tons per year. The province has a large-scale fruit tree production area. The livestock industry is always in the top 10 provinces and cities with the largest herd nationwide, live meat output in 2023 is estimated to reach more than 259 thousand tons.

The whole province has built more than 900 agricultural production models applying high technology, with contracts linking the value chain from production to consumption; 52 key, typical and potential products; 240 products achieved OCOP of 3 stars or more.

Notably, the provincial lychees have been granted geographical indication protection by Japan; fresh lychee exports to Japan increase every year. However, the application of high technology in production still has many limitations.
