At the meeting, Mr. Do Quoc Tuan, Ắc quy xe máy the Director of Bac Giang Dofa, highly appreciated the cooperation program between Bac Giang and JICA in various fields, including volunteers’ contribution. Simultaneously, he hoped that after returning to their home country, these volunteers would keep contact and play a bridging role between Bac Giang people and Japanese people, contributing to taking Bac Giang – JICA partnership to a new height.

In recent years, Bac Giang province has been supported by the Máy tăng âm Japanese Government in implementing a number of investment projects with JICA’s participation in such fields as : transport infrastructure, healthcare, education,  irrigation and clean water and environmental sanitation by JBIC and JICA. (Nen tach cau cho do dai) There are some typical projects including the project on building facilities for 10 secondary schools in disadvantaged areas of the province (2007-2010); the small-scaled projects on improving rural infrastructure under Máy xay giò chả JICA specialized credit program (from 1998 to present); the project on upgrading rural roads at Huong Lam commune (Hiep Hoa district) of the Embassy of Japan; project No.3 on Rural Transport; Song Khe Stop Project on 1A National Highway and the projects on supporting medical facilities at the Provincial Hospital ...

Since 2014, there have been more than 20 JICA’s senior volunteers đau đầu to Bac Giang province with the duty of contributing to exchanging, advising and delivering their practical experiences with the province.

To strengthen cooperation and investment relations, Bac Giang province would like Japanese experts and senior volunteers to carry out long-term activities in such fields as: trade, investment, science and technology, healthcare, education, teaching Japanese etc. Also, it would be grateful if the Japanese Embassy could play its part in supporting Bac Giang province to establish Tinh dầu dừa local -level relations with a province in Japan that share some similarities with Bac Giang. With a view to giving learners of Japanese opportunites to practice spoken Japanese in the province and introducing the land and the people of  the country of “cherry blossoms”, both volunteers suggested the ideas of organizing a Japanese cultural festival in Bac Giang province.
